My experience as a student with Dr. Arshadi was an exceptional one. I found that he was able to simplify complicated topics into a pneumonic or story to help the class remember high yield points. He was attentive to the individual weaknesses and strengths of students. Most importantly, he was always accessible for questions and directed learning. His open communication skills surely helped in that aspect. There are many individuals who enjoy the idea of teaching but to be an effective teacher requires a certain skillset; John Arshadi truly possesses this skillset.

I worked with John Arshadi in a 6-week Step 2 CK program called the Institution of Medical Boards in Kansas, US in January 2017. He was my clinical tutor for the duration and I was among one of nine students in the group. It was a very fruitful experience in terms of getting prepared for CK. What stood out the most was how John used a variety of tactics to make sure that we not only learned the concepts but were able to teach others as well. He played a critical role in getting us prepared for CK and he was one of the reasons I scored so high on the exam.

Dr. Arshadi was my instructor at the Institute of Medical Boards (IOMB) for the USMLE Step 2 CK review course. Not only was he an excellent educator, Dr. Arshadi was instrumental in providing us with the confidence to successfully tackle such a mentally grueling exam. He was able to communicate complex concepts in an understandable manner. His depth of medical knowledge is unparalleled and we learned something uniquely interesting in every session. In addition to providing his students with an incredible medical foundation, Dr. Arshadi also taught us clever and useful strategies to use in order to optimize our scores. These strategies significantly increased my scores and I feel that other students will greatly benefit from his teachings. He was a great source of moral support and believes in his students to succeed.

As a medical student, I knew that getting into a good residency program required doing well on Step 1 and 2. Hence, I took prep courses offered at the Institute of Medical Boards to help me do my best on the boards. I was very thankful to have Dr. John Arshadi as my Step 2 CK coach. He successfully taught ways to not only memorize information but to turn it into long term memory. Dr. Arshadi quizzed everyone on very high yield information every morning. This helped solidify all the material we learned every day. As test day came around, I felt more prepared than ever. I am glad I had an excellent teacher to help me pass Step 2 CK.

Just got my score back on Step 2 and earned a 243!!! That’s a 46 point increase from my step 1 score (if only I knew about you beforehand). I just wanted to thank you so much for all your time and wisdom in helping me prepare. I felt stronger going in and stronger coming out. I will be sure to let Tufts know how great a job you did helping me get my test mojo back. Thank you so much!

I was a student at the Institute for Medical Boards in Overland Park Kansas. John was the instructor for the Step 2 course. John showed a strong commitment to teaching students how to master complex material in a relatively short period of time. John led on of the most diverse groups that I have ever been in. We had students from multiple countries and several who spoke English as a second language. John worked well with this group and every student did well on their exams. His mastery of the material was evident in his daily preparation and teaching style. I would give John my highest recommendation and he will be an excellent instructor in any medical program.

I met John when I signed up for The Institute of Medical Boards Step 2 CK review program in Kansas City Missouri during the summer of 2016. He was my instructor for our group for CK review and I was very impressed with him. He was able to talk about very specific ideas clearly and motivated the group well. He also was a big support of team camaraderie and socializing with in the group as well. That was very important to him and he was always calm and remained focused throughout my 5 week review course. I spent roughly 8 hours a day with him during the week and felt very prepared for my step 2 CK exam. I ended up doing well and I think a lot of it was due to the structure and team building experiences I had there. I would recommend John to teach and mentor anyone based on his interpersonal skills.

I was on the verge of losing my medical career. My school had given me one last opportunity to pass Step 2CK if not I would have an academic dismissal regardless of having passed step 1 and 2CS. I was told if I failed, I would have to do all 4 years of medical school once again. This was my last shot and I am so happy I decided to try Institute of Medical Boards Review Program. Dr. Arshadi helped me and guided me through recognizing my weaknesses as well as my issues with this exam. Once I was able to pinpoint what was wrong, along with putting to practice the program’s test taking and stress management techniques taught by Dr. Arshadi, I found myself confident enough to sit through this exam once more. I passed with the highest score I had ever gotten. Thank you once again Dr. Arshadi.

I met John when I was at Kaplan Medical in Chicago, he's a genuine person. He is very kind and helpful and keeps his classes very lively & interactive. He helped me in lot of ways in my preparation & gaining knowledge towards my exam. He is also a great team player, handling so many people in and out of the class room while giving us each individualized attention. His willingness to help others says a lot about him. He is a man of his word. It's been a pleasure to have such a helpful, kind person as my Medical Advisor.
